Geographic Information Systems or GIS has the ability to give tabular
data, positional quality on a map or a computer screen, via a system of
hardware, software, and geographic data.
The mission of the Geographic
Information System (GIS) Office is to provide geographically based information
to citizens, other governmental units, and County staff, leading to better
decision-making.
