Hours and Location
The Law Library is located in the Douglas County Courthouse across from Court Administration. The Library is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Library Resources and Services
The Law Library maintains a core collection for research in most legal subject areas. Access to case law is available, as well as access to United States Code, Minnesota Statutes and numerous other publications specific to Minnesota. Books on real estate, family law and other areas, some legal forms not available through the State/County Court systems, and local ordinances are also contained in the collection. The Law Library has a subscription to Westlaw; it is available at the Library's public computer station.
Self-Help Project
A self-help person is available at the Law Library. The self-help person is available to help citizens complete civil court forms, assist citizens in understanding the civil court process, and explain options and how to proceed. This service does NOT include legal representation, legal research, strategy, recommendations, or advice. For more information, please contact the Law Library at 320-762-2907. The self-help person is available on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
