The Douglas County Jail accepts payments on an inmate’s bail or bonds 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Contact the jail at ph 320-762-2139 to find out the inmate’s bail or bond amount.
Payment of Bail
We only accept cash payments for bail. During business hours, bail can be paid in the front lobby of the jail. Normal business hours are 8:00 – 4:00, Monday through Friday. Payments after hours or on weekends can be made by contacting the on-duty correctional staff. Once inside the main entrance vestibule, go to the door located next to the KIOSK. Push the button on the silver intercom panel. A correctional officer will then assist you.
Payment of a Bond
To pay a bond, you must contact a Licensed Bail Bond company approved by the State of Minnesota. There are companies listed in the yellow pages under ‘Bail Bonds’. They will collect the inmate’s information and bond amount and will help you through the bonding process.
