Douglas County to hold public hearing on proposed change to septic ordinance.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AMMEND THE DOUGLAS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE AS IT RELATES TO SEPTIC SYSTEMS. 

Please take notice that on the 10th day of August at 7:15 p.m., the Douglas County Planning Advisory Commission will hold a public hearing in Conference Room C at the Douglas County Courthouse, Alexandria, Minnesota 56308, on proposed amendments to Section VI (Sanitation) of the Zoning Ordinance.  The amendments propose to change requirements and standards relating to septic systems for effluent screens, water use metering, operating permits for Type II systems, triggers for compliance inspections, and compliance at time of property transfer. Copies of the draft amendments are available in the Land and Resource Management Department, County Public Library, and on the County website at www.douglascountymn.gov.
