Case Details:
On 5/31/2024 at 9:14pm, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call regarding a house fire at 18369 E Abercrombie Trl NW, Evansville. The property owner informed dispatch, she returned home to find a dishwasher was on fire and the fire was spreading in the kitchen. A deputy who was nearby responded and found the house to be filled with smoke but was able to extinguish the fire using a fire extinguisher. No injuries were reported from the fire and the fire caused moderate damage to the kitchen. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Evansville Fire Department.
