Case Details:
On November 15, 2025, at approximately 1050 hours, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a dirt bike crash near 8949 County Road 12 NW. Responding deputies located a 19-year-old male in the west ditch of County Road 12. The male, identified by family as Riley Wunderlich, was semi-responsive and in severe pain.
A witness reported that Wunderlich had been traveling in the ditch at approximately 55 mph and attempted to jump a driveway. Upon impact, he was ejected from the dirt bike.
Wunderlich was transported by North Ambulance to Alomere Health and was later flown by Life Link III to another medical facility with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the crash and Wunderlich was wearing a helmet.
Assisting on scene were the Garfield First Responders and North Ambulance.
