Driver 1: Charlene Patricia Berglin, Age 54 of Alexandria, MN
Driver 2: Kelly Dean Jull, Age 55 of Alexandria, MN
Details: On January 16th 2024 at 9:28 a.m. the Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a head-on motor vehicle crash on County Road 45 SW, south of the intersection with Turning Leaf Ln SW. Deputies arrived and determined a north bound traveling Chrysler 200 driven by a 54 year old Alexandria woman collided head-on with a south bound traveling Chevrolet Silverado driven by Kelly Jull of Alexandria. The Chrysler car appears to have crossed the center line and collided with the Chevrolet truck. EMS arrived and assisted with both patients. The female driver of the Chrysler was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of Chevrolet was transported to Alomere Health in Alexandria with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family, and will be released at a later time. Assisting agencies included the Alexandria Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Alexandria Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance.
