Driver 2: Kade Woods, age 23
On June 22, 2026 at about 3:42PM, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports of a motorcycle versus tractor crash near the address of 12700 Co Rd 73 Ne. Upon arrival, a male identified as Kade Woods was located lying in the south ditch near a Yamaha street bike. Woods was conscious and spoke with responders. Woods appeared to have non-life threatening but serious injures. Woods was flown to St. Cloud Hospital by Life Link III.
Based on the investigation, Woods was westbound on Co Rd 73 and came up behind a tractor. Woods believed the tractor was moving very slowly or stopping and attempted a pass. The tractor then turned left into the driveway at 12700 Co Rd 73. Woods struck the front left tire of the tractor and was thrown from his motorcycle. Woods was wearing a helmet, which struck the pavement, saving him from head trauma.The driver of the tractor, Bryce Sward was uninjured. Assisting on the scene was North Ambulance, Osakis First Responders, Osakis Police, and Life Link III.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office encourages all riders and passengers to wear a full helmet while on a motorcyle and for all motorists to be cautious when sharing the road with farm equipment.
