Case Details:

On 10/18/2026 at about 3:16 am the Douglas County Sheriff's office received a cell phone crash detection on County Road 1 SW, south of Shorewood Dr SW in Urness Township. Douglas County dispatch was able to have contact with the driver who reported that he had just rolled his vehicle, was ejected, and believed he was injured. It was concluded that the vehicle was traveling northbound and left the roadway right before hitting a field approach, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times. The driver was flown out with suspected serious injuries but is in stable condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The Douglas County Sheriff's office was assisted by North Ambulance, Hoffman Ambulance, Kensington First responders, and LifeLink III. The crash remains under investigation with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
