Details:
Details: On 2/23/2026 at about 9:37 AM, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received multiple 911 reports of a house fire at the address of 3960 Latoka View Ln SW. At the time of the call, there were visible flames and it was unknown if it was occupied. Upon arrival of the Sheriff's Office and Alexandria Fire Department, it was learned that the only two adult occupants of the home had made it out safely. Firefighting efforts ensued with the Alexandria Fire Department and with mutual aid from the Garfield Fire Department. The Sheriff's Office and fire departments were assisted by North Ambulance, Red Cross, and the MN State Fire Marshal. The residence is believed to be a total loss, and the State Fire Marshal is continuing the investigation into the cause of the fire.
