Case Details:
Victim: Jared Jeffrey Schiller, age 33 of Clements, MN
Suspect: James Earl Stewart, age 60 of Minocqua, WI
Details: On 08/18/2023 at 10:56 hours, Douglas County Deputies responded to a two-boat collision that occurred on Lake Miltona. One boat was operated by James Stewart. The other boat was operated by Jared Schiller. The collision caused heavy windshield damage to Schillers boat. The collision resulted in minor personal injury to one of the boat operators. Both boats were able to make it back to the water access where Deputies and Miltona first responders were able to provide aid and assistance to the boat operators. This crash still remains under investigation. Deputies on scene were assisted by Miltona First Responders, Parkers Prairie Ambulance, and North Memorial Ambulance.
