A Mandatory Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) has been prepared for a project by SolarGen of Minnesota, LLC and Allied Solar, LLC, to construct a 40-megawatt solar electrical generation facility on 241 acres in Lake Mary Township, Douglas County. Facility construction includes site grading; installation of racking, panels, equipment and fencing; and final landscaping. Estimated facility lifespan is 25 years, after which all equipment and appurtenances will be removed and the land restored.
Copies of the EAW are available for review in the Douglas County Land & Resource Management Office, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm or in the link on this webpage. Comments regarding the EAW must be made in writing and submitted to David Rush, Douglas County Land & Resource Management, 305 8th Ave W, Alexandria, MN, 56308 or by email to daveru@co.douglas.mn.us. Written comments become part of the public record and must be received no later than 4:30 pm on November 27, 2023.
